Würth Elektronik has expanded its WL-SFTW SMT full-color, highly transparent LED series with three new high-temperature resistant RGB LED models: PLCC4 2121, PLCC4 3528 and PLCC6 5050. These LEDs can operate stably in harsh temperatures from -40°C to +100°C, far above the usual 85°C upper limit for industrial LEDs, providing an ideal solution for reliable color-changing lighting in high-temperature environments.
This excellent heat resistance makes them particularly suitable for demanding applications such as industrial automation, road/outdoor lighting, stage equipment, as well as places that require energy-efficient lighting such as high-load medical equipment and server rooms. The products use a transparent lens to ensure pure light color and accurate color reproduction. The silver-plated pads and high-temperature resistant PLCC package structure improve soldering performance and thermal shock resistance, ensuring stability in mass production.
In addition, the new LEDs have higher light efficiency and lower energy consumption, and can improve energy efficiency by up to 15% compared with similar products at high temperatures. Thanks to the robust materials and optimized temperature control design, its service life is also longer.
All three package types of the WL-SFTW series (PLCC4 2121, PLCC4 3528, PLCC6 5050) support 100°C operating temperature and are available from stock with no minimum order quantity limit and can be ordered at any time.
