FADU Secures 47 Billion KRW Major SSD Order

South Korean semiconductor design company FADU recently received its largest single contract in history—a full-set SSD order worth 47 billion KRW (approximately 320 million USD) from Taiwan-based distributor Macnica Galaxy. This order is a revision of a previous contract from last year, and its value has already exceeded the company’s total revenue in 2024. The core driving force behind this is the surging demand for high-speed storage driven by the global expansion of AI data centers. This milestone indicates that FADU’s high-end technologies, such as PCIe Gen5, are gaining critical market validation. However, the company also faces risks such as reliance on major clients and financial instability due to high R&D investments.
