Samsung and Micron met at CES to discuss S26 memory supply.

According to multiple media reports, Samsung Electronics co-CEO Roh Tae-moon and Micron Technology Chairman and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra are set to meet urgently on the opening day of CES 2026.

The core agenda is to secure the supply and pricing of LPDDR5x memory for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series of flagship smartphones. The urgency stems from the current global shift in DRAM production capacity toward higher-margin products like HBM, which has led to tight supply and soaring prices for mobile memory.
